This collector owned ‘62 Nova has now become available – this is a unique car as Chevy only produced the Nova Convertible in 1962 and 1963 only. This car has been a show car for some time being it was restored in the 90’s and was a Car Craft Centerfold car in 98. All the previous owners including the seller have spared no expense keeping this car very show worthy, it truly is in amazing condition and runs and drives like it looks. The car has seen about 3,000 miles since it was restored.
The restoration included separating the body from the subframes and mounting it to a rotisserie. The car and subframe was stripped to bare metal, metal prepped, and rust proofed. It was followed by several coats of PPG Hot Rod Red and chassis black for the frame. The body panels, moldings, front grille, emblems, window trims, etc. are either NOS pieces or original to the car.
The interior is stunning with a nice painted dash, Classic Instruments gauges, updated sounds system with remote control, new carpets, seat covers, top, tonneau cover, and painted roof frame (btw, the current owner has never put the top down). Check out that very expensive, Italian NARDI steering wheel!
The drive train is rock solid – powered by a reliable Chevy small block 350 engine. Technical highlights are listed below: (See receipts included with paperwork)

This car is a true attention getter, the current owner made some real nice upgrades ensuring the car will be very nice to drive and reliable. The car tracks nicely and runs down the highway like a new car. NO LEAKS, NO RATTLES, this is one solid and rare Nova. You’ll sure to be the only one at any car show. He regularly drives it with his wife over 50 miles in each direction to shows and dinner outings. The car’s binder full of receipts will show the work that been done over the years, it also include a copy of the owner’s manual and the 1998 Car Craft Magazine that featured the Nova.
